Bengali attaches short case suffixes directly to the end of a noun instead of using separate preposition words.

in/at (locative)

-এ / -তে

-e / -te

e.g. বাড়িতে (bāṛite) — "at home."

to (for people)

-কে

-ke

e.g. তাকে (tāke) — "to him/her."

from

-থেকে

-theke

e.g. বাড়ি থেকে (bāṛi theke) — "from home."

with

-সাথে / -সঙ্গে

-sāthe / -sônge

e.g. আমার সাথে (āmār sāthe) — "with me."

of (possessive)

-এর

-er

e.g. রামের বাড়ি (Rāmer bāṛi) — "Ram's house."
